Heavy rain falling across Northern Ontario

Heavy rain is continuing today across portions of northern Ontario.
By Thursday, areas such as Armstrong, Fort Hope, Geraldton, and Webequie will see heavy rain. Total rainfall amounts of 50 to 90 mm are possible before the rain tapers off.
Environment and Climate Change Canada says as of 10 a.m. EDT, observations and radar estimates indicate 50 to 70 mm has fallen from Lake Nipigon to Nakina, including 70 mm at Nakina and 57 mm at Geraldton. An additional 10 to 20 mm is expected for these areas through tonight.
