Heavy rain for Northern Alberta and southwestern areas of Northwest Territories

An area of low pressure will move into Northern Alberta this afternoon and will bring heavy rain to the region.

Rain will commence this afternoon and continue into Tuesday. Most of Northern Alberta will see rain; the High Level region will see the most, with amounts of 40 mm possible.

Additionally, southwestern areas of the Northwest Territories will see some rain, with about 15 to 25 mm expected in the Fort Liard and Fort Simpson area.

Across these areas, some non-severe thunderstorms could occur.
