Heavy Rain Heading to Atlantic Canada

A low pressure system that is currently centered over southern Quebec will bring heavy rain to parts of the Maritimes on Tuesday and Newfoundland on Wednesday.

The rain is expected to begin tonight over western New Brunswick and spread eastward into Prince Edward Island and northern Nova Scotia Tuesday morning.

Rainfall amounts of 20 to 40 mm are possible, locally 50 mm is not out of the question.

Rain moves into Newfoundland on Tuesday night into Wednesday.

The rain will linger in Newfoundland for several days.
