Heavy Rains in Australia Help Extinguish Bushfires

Heavy rains in the Sydney Australia area have helped extinguish some of the bushfires.

Over 30 fires were extinguished after almost 400 mm of rain fell.

It's not all good news however, the heavy rain caused flooding and close to 200 people had to be rescued from floodwaters.

About 75,000 people were also left without power.

The rain has not only helped put out some of the bushfires but also assisted in alleviating the drought.
