Heavy snow and freezing rain across southern Manitoba and NW Ontario
A low is bringing unsettled weather to southern sections of Manitoba and northwestern Ontario.
Total snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm is expected. The snow will gradually come to an end this afternoon. Gusty winds up to 70 km/h are also occurring.
Behind the low, temperatures will cool to more seasonal values.
Cooler, more seasonal temperatures will follow in the wake of this system.
Across northwestern Ontario, there is freezing rain. The freezing rain will end this afternoon.
The freezing rain will change to snow. Snowfall accumulations of 10 to 20 cm is expected and will continue through Saturday afternoon. Winds will gust to near 50 km/h.
