Heavy snow expected for parts of Alberta

After an atmospheric river brought warm temperatures to southern Alberta on Tuesday, a significant change in the weather pattern is on the way.

A low will move across southern Alberta on Thursday. The low will bring snow to southern Alberta. For the Cardston - Fort Macleod - Magrath to Crowsnest Pass - Pincher Creek and Waterton Lakes National Park areas, heavy snow is expected.

The heavy snow will develop Thursday morning. Total snowfall amounts of 20 cm are expected by the time the snow ends on Friday morning.
