High Level and Bushe River Reserve Evacuated Due to Wildfire

Thousands of people are being evacuated from High Level and the Bushe River Reserve, Alberta due to an out of control Wildfire.

When residents were forced to evacuate, the fire was only three kilometres from town.

The Chuckegg Creek fire has grown exponentially in recent days.

The fire is an estimated 69,000 hectares.

Wildfire smoke is continuing to affect many communities in northern parts of the province.

This morning the wind will shift eastward and will move the smoke toward the British Columbia border.
