High temperatures to continue in the west all week

Oppressive heat is continuing across portions of Saskatchewan, most of Alberta, and parts of British Columbia.

Temperatures are reaching between 29 and 33 degrees this week, and overnight lows are expected to remain high in most locations.

With this prolonged heat event, there is a concern for vulnerable populations, including those who work outside.

The heat will persist through the weekend and will come to an end early next week. Before then, the extreme heat could also invade northern Manitoba.
