Intense heat is gripping India.

So far this summer heat waves have killed more than 100 people.

Due to climate change, the intense heat in countries such as India will only worsen in the coming years.

Temperatures could potentially become too hot to be inhabited by humans.

Typically the heat abates after the monsoon rains.

The heat is lingering longer.

India is among the countries expected to be worst affected by the impacts of climate crisis, according to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
