It's going to be a soggy weekend across Atlantic Canada.


From Saturday to Sunday night, 40 to 80 mm of rain is possible across western and southern Newfoundland. About 15 to 30 mm is expected for most of central and the northern Avalon Peninsula.


Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and eastern New Brunswick will receive about 30 to 50 mm of rain. 10 to 15 mm is expected for central and northern New Brunswick.


Across the south coast of Newfoundland, the Avalon Peninsula, and Cape Breton Island there will be a few hours of gusty winds where gusts between 70 and 100 km/h appear possible.
