July Astronomy Highlights


Earth reaches its annual farthest point from the Sun on July 5th. The Finlay comet will be at its brightest on July 7th.


Venus and Mars meet in the western sky on July 11th with both to the left of the Moon. On July 13th, Mars and Venus come closer to Earth.


The Moon, Saturn, and Jupiter form a triangle on the 25th.
