June Astronomy Highlights


Most planets will form a line this month. Venus will be low in the eastern sky with Jupiter above Mars followed by Saturn at the highest point.


Just before sunrise, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn will be visible in a line.


By the 18th, the moon will be below Saturn, on June 21st the moon will be below Jupiter and right of Mars on the 22nd, Venus on the 26, and Mercury on the 27th.

  • Full Moon June 14

  • Last Quarter June 20

  • New Moon June 28
