Lake effect snow likely for areas east and southeast of Lake Huron

Writer: Kyle Sooley-BrookingsKyle Sooley-Brookings

Lake effect snow is likely to develop this morning for areas east and southeast of Lake Huron and areas to the south of Georgian Bay.

Some areas may see 10 to 15 cm of snow. The wind will also be strong with gusts to 70 km/h possible.

As a result of the snow and strong winds, widespread blowing snow is expected.

The snow will abate this evening.
