Low pressure system to impact Ontario on Thursday

From Thursday into Friday, an area of low pressure will pass south of Southern Ontario.

The low will bring rain to extreme southwestern Ontario, freezing rain for parts of southwestern Ontario and regions north of Lake Ontario, and snow for areas from the Bruce Peninsula to Kingston and central and eastern Ontario.

Portions of southwestern Ontario and regions north of Lake Ontario will likely see freezing rain on Thursday morning. Freezing rain accretion of up to 2 mm is possible, some higher elevations could receive more.

Snow will begin on Thursday morning for the Bruce Peninsula to Kingston areas and Thursday afternoon for central and eastern Ontario. Snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm are expected.
