Low to bring snow and rain to Newfoundland this weekend

An area of low pressure will spread rain and snow across Newfoundland on Saturday into Sunday.

For western areas of the Island, snow is likely. In central Newfoundland significant snowfall is likely.

The south coast and the Avalon Peninsula will likely just see rain. The rainfall amounts could be significant over Avalon Peninsula.

Its still too early to discuss snow and rainfall amounts as there is little model consensus at this time.
