Man dead after cold water rescue in Newfoundland



The Harbour Grace Volunteer Fire Brigade was called to a cold water rescue incident on Sunday night in Perry’s Cove, NL.


The Harbour Grace Volunteer Fire Brigade was called in to assist the Victoria and Salmon Cove Departments.


Crews recovered the body of a man from the local area who had gone through the ice on his Skidoo.


Perry's Cove is located on the Avalon Peninsula of Newfoundland about 1.5 hours from St. John's.


The area experienced two days of cold weather and some areas of water are partially covered in ice.
