Manitoba and southeast Saskatchewan could see funnel clouds Tuesday

Showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue through Tuesday evening across southern Manitoba and southeastern Saskatchewan as a stacked low-pressure system moved southeast from the Manitoba Lakes.
The main potential threat is funnel cloud development in southeastern Manitoba as the upper-level low moved toward the Ontario border during the afternoon.
The development of funnel clouds will depend on daytime heating. A persistent cloud deck moving in from the northwest could limit heating enough to prevent funnel clouds from forming.
Showers and thunderstorms have been ongoing since overnight and are expected to continue into the evening.
