Messy mix of weather across northeastern Ontario


Northern portions of northeastern Ontario will see snow this afternoon. Snow may be mixed with ice pellets or freezing rain at times, particularly for areas from Wawa to Timmins. Snow is expected to taper to flurries Friday morning. Total snowfall amounts are fairly uncertain, however, snowfall amounts near 10 cm are possible.


Rain is expected this afternoon across southern portions of northeastern Ontario. The rain will continue through Friday morning. Rainfall amounts of 40 to 60 mm are expected. Rain will taper and transition to scattered showers or flurries Thursday night into Friday morning. Thunderstorms are possible today.
