Messy Mix of Weather Headed to Newfoundland

As the latest storm moves out of the Maritimes, Newfoundland is getting set for some wintery weather.

Snow will spread across Newfoundland beginning this afternoon on the south and west coast.

Along the south coast, Avalon Peninsula, and through Clarenville, the snow will change to rain late this evening.

For Deer Lake east to Gander snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm are possible by Wednesday morning. Terra Nova to St. John's we can see about 5 to 10 cm of snow followed by 5 to 10 mm of rain.

In the Wreckhouse area, winds will gust to 100 km/h this afternoon.

The system moves out overnight.
