Messy weekend ahead for Maritime Provinces


A disorganized area of low pressure will push across the Maritimes this weekend bringing rain and snow.


Rain will push across Nova Scotia tonight. Most of the province with the exception of Cape Breton will see rain on Saturday. Rain will make it to Cape Breton by Saturday night. Rain will mix with snow across Inverness County. 10 to 20 mm of rain is possible. Eastern facing shores of Nova Scotia could see up to 40 mm of rain.


Snow is expected across New Brunswick on Saturday and Sunday. Snowfall amounts of 15 to 25 cm is expected in most areas by Sunday evening. Snow could linger into Monday.


By Saturday night rain will make its way into Prince Edward Island. Across Prince County, rain could mix with snow at times. 10 to 20 mm of rain is possible.
