Meteorologist May Have Lost Job After Slamming Corporate

A TV Meteorologist in Illinois may have lost his job after announcing live on air that the stations "Code Red" weather alerts are a corporate initiative and doesn't represent the threat of severe weather perfectly.

Joe Crain, a meteorologist for WICS in Springfield said during a newscast that "not all storms are created equal" and that the alerts are forced by a "corporate initiative."

Joe Crain has not appeared on WICS in Springfield, Illinois, since he made the comments on June 5.

Several companies have stopped advertising with the station in solidarity with Crain.
