Along the southern shore of James Bay into Hornepayne snow is expected on Tuesday. Snowfall amounts of up to 10 cm in just a few hours accompanied by strong winds and blowing snow could reduce visibility to near zero at times.

Across far northern Ontario and areas north of Lake Superior, a cold front will bring a mix of rain and snow to the area Tuesday morning. Temperatures will fall rapidly as the front passes Tuesday afternoon, potentially leading to a flash freeze.

Strong winds are expected Tuesday afternoon and evening across parts of far northwestern Ontario north and west of Fort Severn. Gusts to 80 km/h are possible.
