A mix of freezing rain, snow and rain is expected to create hazardous conditions across parts of Ontario beginning Thursday afternoon and continuing into Friday.
Areas east of Lake Superior could see freezing rain with ice accumulation between two and five millimetres. Northern portions of the region may also receive between five and 10 centimetres of snow, while southern areas are expected to transition to rain later in the evening.
Further west, along the north shore of Lake Superior and into parts of northeastern and northwestern Ontario, snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 centimetres are forecast.
In other parts of northeastern Ontario, a period of freezing rain is expected to change to rain Thursday evening. Ice accumulation of up to two millimetres is possible before the transition, followed by rainfall totals of 20 to 30 millimetres.
Meanwhile, brief freezing rain is also possible Thursday evening in the Haliburton Highlands and Bruce Peninsula, which could create icy conditions on untreated surfaces.
