Moderate Risk of Severe Storms in Iowa and Illinois

It is going to be a severe weather day across portions of Iowa and Illinois.

The Storm Prediction Center says that there is a moderate risk of severe thunderstorms across extreme southeastern Iowa and into parts of northern Illinois.

Cities such as Peoria, Davenport, Bloomington, Normal, and Moline are all in the moderate risk area.

The threats with the stronger storms include tornadoes, a few which may be significant, large to very large hail, and severe gusts.

Storms are expected to reach severe limits by the mid-afternoon.
