More Evacuations in Florida Due to Wildfires

Wildfires have forced evacuations across Florida.

A wildfire destroyed 59 homes in the Florida Panhandle. Authorities have made ana arrest in connection with that fire.

Residents of about 600 homes were told to leave.

A stretch of Interstate 75 was closed due to the fire.

About 600 homes were placed under a mandatory evacuation order in Collier County.

The fire was originally two fires that merged into one fire on Thursday. So far it has burned 32 square kilometres and it only about 10 percent contained.

87 active fires are burning across the state.
