More snow expected for Nova Scotia and Newfoundland

An area of low pressure will pass southeast of Nova Scotia on Wednesday afternoon and will bring snow to Nova Scotia on Wednesday. Precipitation will change to a mix of rain and snow in most areas as it tapers off overnight or early Thursday morning.

Snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm are expected.

Eventually the low will make it to Newfoundland Wednesday night through Thursday afternoon and bring snow to some areas.

Across central and western Newfoundland 5 to 15 cm is anticipated.

Rainfall of 20 to 30 mm is expected for the Avalon, Burin, and Bonavista Peninsulas.
