More than 40 people missing after flooding in Virginia

More than 40 people are missing in the Virginia country of Buchanan County after severe storms stalled over the region dropping about 6 inches of rain.


There have been no reports of any fatalities.


Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin has declared a state of emergency.


The flooding caused power outages, about 100 homes were damaged and landslides caused several roads to be blocked.


Buchanan County in far western Virginia, borders both West Virginia and Kentucky.
