More thunderstorms expected today across the Prairies

More thunderstorms are expected today across the Prairie provinces.

Most of Alberta will see thunderstorms today. The area at the greatest risk of seeing severe storms is southwestern areas such as Fort Macleod. In these areas, winds may gust to 90 km/h and hail of 2 to 4 cm in diameter is possible.

Elsewhere across the province, non-severe storms are expected.

Across southern Saskatchewan and southern Manitoba, storms are expected to develop this afternoon. Any storms that do form are not expected to reach severe levels.
