NASA to crash the International Space Station into Earth

If you ever planned to become an astronaut and visit the International Space Station you're out of luck.
NASA announced this week that they will crash the International Space Station into the Pacific Ocean in January 2031.
The space station is showing cracks and the collision with space junk has caused damage. As a result, NASA will retire the station in nine years.
NASA will send the station crashing into Point Nemo.
Point Nemo is a spot in the Pacific Ocean that is the farthest away from land you can be on the planet. The area already hosts hundreds of pieces of space debris.
The space station has been occupied continuously since November 2000. At any time there is an international crew of seven people living and working onboard. The space station orbits Earth about every 90 minutes.
