No tsunami threat after earthquake off the coast of Oregon


A 5.6 magnitude earthquake has occurred off the coast of Oregon. It was centred 154 km west of Gold Beach.


It was at a depth of 16.6 km.


There were several aftershocks recorded.


The National Tsunami Warning Center Palmer, Alaska, said that a tsunami is not expected.
