November Astronomy Highlights

On November 3 the Moon will be above Mercury in the pre-dawn hours in the eastern sky.

Uranus will reach opposition on November 5 and will be at its closest point to Earth for this year.

The Taurids meteor shower will be visible as of November 5th. The shower will be visible for the remainder of the month.

On the 7th the Moon will be near Venus after sunset.

On November 17 the Moon will be near Uranus all night in the eastern sky after dusk.

The Leonids Meteor Shower peaks on November 18.

Friday, November 19 there will be a Partial Lunar Eclipse.
