Numerous cancellations and travel problems across Southern Ontario
A winter storm has caused a messy morning commute across Southern Ontario.
Several schools are closed across the region. All schools in the Toronto Catholic District School Board and Toronto District School Board are closed today due to the weather.
All George Brown College classes and services will be moving online where possible, and the college campuses will be closed. The University of Toronto Scarborough has cancelled in-person and virtual morning classes until noon. UTM remains closed.
Humber Polytechnic and Centennial College is closed all day.
In Toronto, TTC customers will experience significant delays across the entire Streetcar network due to weather and mechanical related issues. Most roads are snow-covered and motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions.
There are numerous delays and cancellations at Toronto Pearson. The Airport has over 100 pieces of snow-clearing equipment deployed.
