One person dead after earthquake in Colombia

On Thursday a 6.3 magnitude earthquake occurred 16 km north of Cumaral, Colombia.

The earthquake occurred at 1:04 pm local time and was at a depth of 10 km.

Officials said one woman had died as a result of the earthquake. There was damage to buildings in the capital of Bogota.

When the earthquake began, residents fled from buildings into the streets.
