Ottawa River Hits Capital

The Ottawa River has hit Ottawa, and the river hasn't peaked yet.

All-time high water records have been set. The river is at record-breaking levels in LacCoulonge, Arnprior, and Ottawa. Records date back to 1950 in some of the hardest hit areas. On Sunday the records rose two centimeters back in 2017. Water levels will continue to rise 40 to 50 centimeters in the city. The City of Gatineau is also in trouble. Records may be broken there too.
