Out of control wildfires in Alberta and British Columbia
There are two out of control wildfires in Alberta. The first is in the Salve Lake area and the second is in the Fort McMurray forest area.
The fire near Slave Lake, SWF-042-2024, is 0.80 ha in size and the fire near Fort McMurray is estimated to be 7756.0 ha in size.
In British Columbia, there are 15 out of control wildfires in the Prince George Fire Centre area. The Parker Lake Fire is 8,433 Hectares and is located on Highway 97, 2 km northwest of Parker Lake.
There is an evacuation order in The Peace River Regional District for Km 5.75 on Doig Road, North to Road PDR MC9, East for 6.75 Km, South to Doig Road, and West to Km 5.75 on Doig Road.
