Powerful earthquake strikes Taiwan
There was a 6.2 magnitude earthquake in Taiwan on Monday afternoon.
The earthquake was centred 64.2 km east of Hualien City, Taiwan and was at a depth of 28 km.
Buildings shook in the capital and across much of the northern part of the island but there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
The earthquake was also felt in portions of Japan, the Philippines, and China.
