Powerful low to bring snow and strong winds to the Maritimes

An area of low pressure will pass south of Nova Scotia on Monday night and will bring snow and strong winds to the Maritime provinces.


New Brunswick

Total snowfall amounts of 15 to 25 cm are expected for southern and eastern New Brunswick from Monday afternoon through Tuesday morning. Winds will also gust between 60 and 80 km/h.


Prince Edward Island

Across Prince Edward Island, significant snowfall and strong winds are also expected.

Snowfall amounts of 15 to 25 cm are likely, combined with winds gusting from 60 to 80 km/h from Monday evening until near noon Tuesday.


Nova Scotia

The eastern half of Nova Scotia will see 15 to 25 cm of snow and wind gusts between 60 and 80 km/h on Monday afternoon and Monday night.


Heavy snow, strong northeast winds, and blowing snow are expected Monday for the western half of Nova Scotia, also with similar snowfall amounts expected with wind gusts to 90 km/h from Monday through Tuesday morning.
