Rain and strong winds across the Maritime Provinces


Rain and strong winds will move into the Maritimes today and into Thursday morning.


Across most of New Brunswick, rainfall amounts of 25 to 50 mm is possible from this morning through Thursday morning. Heavier rain is expected across western and central Nova Scotia where 30 to 50 mm could fall.


This rain will result in melting snow and some localized flooding could occur.


Winds will be an issue across southern New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Nova Scotia.


Winds will gust between 70 and 90 km/h except 100 km/h over some exposed coastal areas.
