Rain and thunderstorms expected across saturated southern Ontario

A cold front will slice across Southern Ontario today, bringing rain to the region through this afternoon.


Rainfall amounts of 20 to 30 mm are expected from Sault Ste. Maire to Huntsville to Ottawa and areas north of Lake Huron.


Rainfall amounts of 10 to 20 mm are expected for most of Southern Ontario.


Many areas in the region are presently contending with significant flooding; this additional rainfall will only exacerbate the situation.


There is also a risk of thunderstorms, which may increase rainfall amounts.
