Rain and wind expected across NW Ontario on Tuesday

It will be a rainy Tuesday across portions of northwestern and far northwestern Ontario.

Rainfall amounts of 20 to 30 mm are possible but some areas could see up to 50 mm locally.

The ground remains frozen so there is little ability to absorb the rainfall, as a result, there could be some flooding in low-lying areas.

Across parts of northwestern Ontario and north of Lake Superior, strong winds are expected. Winds are expected to gust to 80 km/h for most of the day. There could be some minor tree damage and power outages.
