A disturbance will continue to push across the Maritimes today. Rain is expected for most areas but some snow may mix in across Prince Edward Island and portions of New Brunswick. In total, a general 5 to 10 mm of rain is expected as the precipitation end this morning.
Rain is expected across Newfoundland. The west coast and the south coast will see the heaviest rain with up to 25 mm possible for the west coast, up to 50 mm is possible for most of the south coast, 20 to 30 mm of rain is expected for the southern Avalon. Elsewhere 5 to 15 mm of rain is expected.
Winds will be strong along the Avalon Peninsula and the south coast. Gusts up to 100 km/h are possible through the day before diminishing this evening.
