Rain and wind expected in NL over the next couple of days


A pair of low pressure systems will push across Newfoundland and Labrador over the next day or so bringing rain and strong winds to most areas.


Wind warnings have been issued for Bay St. George and Corner Brook and vicinity. On Monday winds will gust between 70 and 100 km/h. There is a Wreckhouse wind warning in effect for Channel-Port aux Basques and vicinity. Gusts to 120 km/h are expected after midnight tonight until late Monday afternoon.


40 to 60 mm of rain is possible for Churchill Falls and vicinity and the Churchill Valley this evening and Monday.


For Labrador City and Wabush and Upper Lake Melville, 50 mm is expected between now and Tuesday into Wednesday.
