Rain, freezing rain, and snow expected across parts of Ontario Thursday


An area of low pressure will spread across Ontario on Thursday and Friday bringing rain, freezing rain, snow, and strong winds to most of the province.


Southern Ontario

Rain will push across Southern Ontario on Thursday. Rainfall amounts of 20 to 30 mm is possible. Winds will gust between 70 and 90 km/h. There is a slight risk of freezing rain near the Dundalk Highlands and portions of central Ontario. Portions of northeastern and central Ontario including North Bay could also see some freezing rain.


Northern Ontario

Snowfall is expected across northeastern Ontario. Snow will begin on Thursday afternoon and continue into Friday morning. Snowfall accumulations of 10 to 15 cm will be possible for areas from Sault Ste. Marie east to North Bay.
