Rain, Snow, and Gusty Wind Expected Across NL #nlwx
An area of low pressure will approach Newfoundland and Labrador from the southwest and bring rain, snow, and strong winds to the province.
Rain is expected to begin across the province today and continue through Thursday. The heaviest rain will fall along the south coast of Newfoundland where up to 60 mm is possible.
Rain will also fall across the remainder of the province with lesser amounts expected.
Winds will also pose a problem with coastal gusts to 80 km/h possible.
Thursday morning through Friday night, Labrador will see rain change to snow for most areas combined with gusty winds.
On Friday, temperatures will fall along the west coast of Newfoundland. As it does so, the rain will change to snow. Flurries are expected on Friday night, Saturday, and perhaps Sunday also.
