Rare Earthquake Hits Quebec


There was a 4.0 magnitude earthquake in Quebec on Saturday.


The earthquake was 70 km northwest of Maniwaki, QC and 132 km northeast of Petawawa, ON.


It is rare for an earthquake to strike that area.


Earthquakes Canada said, "There are no reports of damage, and none would be expected."


It was lightly felt in Maniwaki and Mont Laurier, QC.
