Remnants of Tropical Storm Amanda Could Redevelop on Atlantic Side

There is currently a low-pressure system over the Guatemala-Yucatan Border that is the remnants of Eastern Pacific Tropical Storm Amanda.

This low could redevelop on the Atlantic side over the next couple of days once the low moves back over water in the Gulf of Mexico.

Heavy rainfall is likely to continue over portions of southern Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Belize, and western Honduras during the next few days.

Today is the first day of the Atlantic hurricane season, which runs until November 30.
