Satellite pollution is a growing problem

Are you a stargazer? Well if you frequently keep an eye on the sky, you may have noticed a lot more than just stars.

The night sky is becoming increasingly polluted by satellites. They are everywhere!

Currently, there are more than 4,500 satellites orbiting Earth and there are more being launched constantly.

Elon Musk's SpaceX currently has the most satellites in operation, more than even the United States government.

NASA uses telescopes on Earth to search for potentially killer asteroids, that work is becomingly increasingly difficult due to the number of satellites in orbit.

The first satellite ever launched was Explorer 1, launched by the United States in 1958.
