Sea surface temperatures in Atlantic Canada abnormally high

Sea surface temperatures in Atlantic Canada are currently one of the most abnormally high sea surface temperatures in the world.

Currently, sea surface temperatures off the coast of Newfoundland are ranging from 7 to 9 degrees and temperatures off the coast of the Maritime provinces are about 9 to 11 degrees.

While that may not seem like much, it's actually about 3 to 4 degrees higher than what it should be this time of year.

The only area that rivals Atlantic Canada is in the western Pacific where temperatures are about 3 to 5 degrees higher.
