The RCMP on the west coast of Newfoundland was kept busy on Thursday afternoon responding to several accidents.

Corner Brook RCMP responded to multiple crashes on the Trans-Canada Highway between Pasadena and Corner Brook.

At the time the roads were snow-covered and slippery with white-out conditions.

The police are asking people to avoid unnecessary travel at this time.

The area is under a blowing snow advisory.
