Several communities evacuated in Newfoundland due to wildfires

Several communities in Newfoundland have been evacuated due to wildfires.
There is a wildfire burning near Kingston that is 721.0 ha in size and is currently out-of-control. As a result of this fire, evacuation orders are in effect for Small Point–Adam’s Cove–Blackhead–Broad Cove, Kingston, and Western Bay.
An evacuation alert has also been issued for the residents in the unincorporated area of Ochre Pit Cove. Residents are advised to be prepared to evacuate the community on short notice.
There is also an out-of-control fire in Holyrood that is 22.0 ha in size. There are evacuation orders in effect for sections of Holyrood and sections of Conception Bay South.
This includes Route 60 from Beaumont Place to the bridge at the entrance of Holyrood (all side roads), the Terminal Station, Duff’s Road, Green Acres Subdivision, from 1820 Conception Bay Highway to the western boundary of Conception Bay South. An evacuation alert has also been issued for the area from 1375 Conception Bay Highway to 1820 Conception Bay Highway, including all roads in between.
